We're excited to announce that the SFDA year-end gathering and networking event is set to take place on Thursday, 27 November 2025, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.

It's a great opportunity for our members to come together at year's end in an informal capacity and a chance for our chairman to update our members on activities over the year and highlight key events in the new year.

The event will also act as a graduation ceremony for all our members who completed our Certificate in Fund Governance over the last 6 months, we welcome those members to attend so we can celebrate their achievements.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore ("MAS") has released three sets of Guidelines on Environmental Risk Management – Transition Planning​ ("TPGs") to strengthen how financial institutions ("FIs") manage climate-related risks within their business models and investment portfolios.

The Guidelines set out the supervisory expectations of MAS for banks, insurers, fund managers and asset managers (collectively, "FIs") to manage the transition and physical risks they and their portfolios face from climate change.

The Guidelines build upon 2020 MAS Environmental Risk frameworks, shifting the focus from high-level sustainability commitments to requiring the development of practical, long-term transition plans. These plans proactively address climate-related risks across business strategy, portfolios, and governance.

The Institute of Mergers, Acquisitions & Alliances (IMAA) is hosting their annual Post-Merger Integration Conference (PMIC) 2026 which brings together senior executives, dealmakers, operators, and advisors to address one of the most critical phases of M&A success: post-merger integration (PMI). SFDA has been invited to participate in this conference, we have a panel discussion on corporate governance and its importance pre and post-merger. This conference would be very useful to our members in the private equity/VC space.

This event will bring together our Executive Committee members to share key membership updates and future plans for SFDA. The evening will also feature an engaging fireside chat with Jean Chia, Global Chief Investment Officer at Bank of Singapore, who will share her perspectives on navigating macro uncertainty, long-term investment strategies, and what it means to invest in an age of longevity.
